Carcinoid syndrome (CS) is the most common functional associated with neuroendocrine neoplasia (NEN), particularly in intestinal NEN extensive liver metastases. Owing to heterogenous symptomatic scenario present CS, recognition of these patients may be challenging. In this review, we explore some key clinical factors used identify affected by particular focus on differential diagnoses diarrhea, which main symptom CS. Moreover, highlight importance nutritional screening as a indication prevent malnutrition and manage nutrient deficiencies patients.
